And when you've gained confidence to wager real money, online sites require you register and download their game software to kick off a real money game. So, to start the ball rolling on these easy-breezy instructions, go ahead and use a free blackjack game where you deal with "play" money first.

Armed with your "play" chips from your buy-in, you'll see an array of chip amount tabs in front of you. Usually they'll be in amounts of one, five, 25 and 100. Now, you can adjust your wager with these tabs. For example, the table minimum is ten and you want to wager 13 on your hand. You only need to click on the "five" tab twice and click on the "one" tab three times to get a total of 13.

When your bet is within the allowable range, two tabs will appear. These are "deal" and "clear". The latter obviously means that you want to start over and reenter your wager on that hand while the latter simply means you've confirmed your bet in which case, the dealing of cards will start.

From then on, the familiar "double", "hit", "stand" and "split" tabs will come up. All you have to do now is click on your desired move. What's pretty easy with online blackjack too is that from this point on, the amount will automatically be reflected in your current balance. Like when you click "double", you don't have to re-enter your original wager by clicking on the individual chip tabs because the amount is automatically placed on the table.

Then, familiar moves like double, hit, stand, and split will appear.
